The objective of this editorial magazine layout is to showcase the faces behind the growing medical marijuana industry. While patients medicate and visit dispensaries... often times, they do not know the story behind how their medicine comes to fruition.

Top Shelf Care was a featured Semifinalist in 2017's international Adobe Design Achievement Awards competition in the Photography category.
CARE, COMPASSION & CANNABIS
While interviewing, photographing and writing up the story for this project, the process changed my own personal perspectives on how the marijuana industry is truly helping their patients. There are people who are really sick and traditional medicine has given up on them. It's nice to know patients have alternative choices in managing their illnesses.
FRESH & NATURAL
During the design process, clean minimal shapes and lines were used in conjunction with vibrant yellows and earthy greens to imply energy and rejuvenation. Adobe Caslon Pro was selected for the typographical choice for comfortable readability for the relaxing subject matter.
